This fund was established on behalf of
Curley Tracey may he rest in peace. Some of you may have known
Curley from seeing him with his family, The Tracey's at rescue
events. Others of you may have met him at his home when you
came to meet and/or adopt fosters.
Though he wasn't a Basset Hound (Black
Lab/Rottie) he had been a loyal and loving friend to all the
Bassets who lived with him over the years, and who have passed
through his home while waiting for a new forever home. Because
Curley was older he spent a lot of time helping to nurture,
care and love Colonial's rescued Bassets. He help them to
feel welcome when they were between homes. He also played
with them and taught them manners.
Curley was diagnosed with Cancer in late
September 2006. The Cancer he had was treatable with Chemotherapy.
Cancer treatments are very expensive and can create a financial
burden for families who's pets have become victims of Cancer.
Some members of Colonial have decided
to start a new fund for canines that become victims of Cancer
to help their families pay for treatments. To make a donation
to this fund, please make your check payable to The Curley
Tracey Cancer Fund and mail to:
